Will HassienJanuary 7, 2009 - A few days ago I ran a story on the top Athletes in Louisiana, and Will Hassein of Sculpture HS, was one of my sleeper Athletes, Will, Committed to McNeese State, on (Wed) over Southeastern, their in conference new rival in Hammond, Will, is in the 5-9 to 5-10 range, weighs 180 to 185, and looks like a 4.4 forty, watching this exciting player for Sulphur in a High School football game. Will times in the low 4.5 s, in the forty. I had the opportunity to see this kid play three different times his senior year and I was so impressed, with ability to juke defenders with moves in the open field, and his ability to separate on kickoff returns, and catching passes downfield. His effort after the catch is always all out, and he’s also super quick returning kickoffs.

Will, brings the ability of being able to play several positions for the Cowboys, and I predict, Will, will make an impact at the slot WR position, after a Redshirt Freshman Season, if there’s any injuries during the season, it would not surprise me to see this kid even play some WR, as early as a True Freshman. I was able to see Drew Dileo play at Parkview Baptist HS for three years, who’s committed to Michigan in Ann Arbor, and I believe this kid is the Lake Charles version of Drew, and very underrated from a recruiting stand point. Throw height out the window, just ask Wes Welker , formerly Texas Tech, and currently New England Patriots, if being under 5-11 really matters in college or the NFL, I’m sure he would tell you it really doesn’t matter. Wes Welker, prior to his season ending knee injury, had a league leading 123 catches on the season, and he stands only 5-8, to 5-9 in height.

The Cowboys Recruiting class already has Commitments from twin brothers Will and Wes Briscoe, from Central HS, (QB), and (WR). This class is off to a great start, and has a chance to be the best class in the Southland Conference, when it's said and done for 2010.

Coming Friday Best Fullbacks in Louisiana for 2010, and top sleepers.
